Technology Student Intern

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Interest in the technology, computer science, machine learning/AI, or networking field(s)
- Working knowledge of Google productivity tools (drive, docs, sheets, etc…)
- Basic understanding of how computers work
- Ability to work alone for short periods of time
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to seek out solution independently
- Ability to empathize with end users as they seek help or report problems
- 2 Letters of Recommendation, one from a Teacher, and the second one fron any other person
- Resume required to be uploaded
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed driver and provides their own transportation
POSITION SUMMARY
The position of the district IT Intern is to assist the Technology team with providing the students and staff of the district with a technological environment which supports student academic achievement, while gaining skills and knowledge which will provide him/her with a blended educational experience. The knowledge gained during the internship will provide the intern with the skill set needed to seamlessly move into a professional career in the IT industry
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the technology team with the maintenance of hardware, software and other systems as needed
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment, i.e. printers, and computers
- Troubleshoot end user workflows, i.e. login issues, access problems, software issues
- Run software updates on designated devices
- Participate in the deployment of new devices or applications
- Research technology solutions and pricing as required
- Research unusual issues the district may encounter
- Use and then improve problem solving skills
- Other duties as assigned.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.

SALARY SCHEDULE
This position will be paid according to the approved Temporary Salary Schedule.
